14 Days Before:
Avoid blood thinners like Advil, Ibuprofen, Aleve, Aspirin, Motrin, Vitamin E, fish oil, and St. John's Wort. These can increase bruising. (If you're on prescription blood thinners, don't stop—just let us know at your appointment.)
24 Hours Before:
Skip the wine. Alcohol increases your chances of bruising.
Timing Your Appointment:
Book at least 4 weeks before any big events (weddings, vacations, reunions). Radiesse can cause more swelling than traditional filler in the first few days, and full results take 6-8 weeks.
You're Not a Candidate If:
- You're pregnant or breastfeeding
- You have an active skin infection in the treatment area
- You're allergic to lidocaine or calcium based products
- You have severe allergies or history of anaphylaxis
- You have bleeding disorders or are on anticoagulants (check with Becca first)

Stay upright. No lying down, bending over, or napping. This helps the product settle properly.
For 24-48 Hours:
- Expect swelling. Radiesse causes more initial swelling than hyaluronic acid fillers (this is normal).
- Ice gently if needed (10 minutes on, 10 minutes off).
- Skip the gym—no cardio, yoga, heavy lifting, or hot yoga.
- Avoid makeup on treated areas if possible.
For 2 Weeks:
- No facial massages, gua sha, Clarisonic brushes, or firm pressure on treated areas.
- Skip facials, steam rooms, saunas, and tanning beds.
- Avoid dental work if possible (pressure can shift product).
If You Bruise: Ice gently and consider arnica gel. Bruising is more common with Radiesse than HA fillers but fades within 7-10 days.
Results Timeline: You'll see immediate volume. Swelling peaks at 48-72 hours and settles within 1-2 weeks. Full collagen integration takes 6-8 weeks, with continued improvement up to 3-4 months.
Follow-Up: We'll check in around 6-8 weeks to assess results and plan any touch-ups if needed.
